Borrowing an Alternative Loan

Select a lender. Below is a list of preferred lenders of alternative loans along with their phone numbers and web addresses. We encourage you to visit all of the web sites to review the requirements and fee structures of each type of loan.
Apply. Applications may be completed by phone, by mail or on-line, depending on your lender choice. Be sure to give complete information and return all forms with original signatures as soon as possible, when required.
Contact the Financial Aid Office. Notify the Financial Aid Office that you have chosen and applied for an alternative loan. Your lender will also be in contact with the Financial Aid Office to obtain certification of the loan. Once the loan is certified, funds will be sent to the school to be applied to your student account. Remember, the Financial Aid Office can only certify a loan amount no greater than the cost of education less all other financial aid.
