Academic Visitation Camp
July 13-18, 2008
In an attempt to promote the academic experience of John Brown University to prospective students in a tangible way, the AVC will allow students in the summer between their junior and senior year to visit and stay on our campus for one week. During this time, a collaborative effort between Admissions and Assistant Professor Jason Hough will
- Introduce 50 students (25 males, 25 females) to our university.
- Provide a challenging academic experience for students. Students will take the course Hollywood Films and Christian Critique and leave with 3 hours of general college credit.
- Allow students an opportunity to interact with faculty. Professor Hough will guide the course, and it will also feature five guest faculty for mini-lectures.
- Build community between the camp attendees.
