Institutional Review Board

The JBU Institutional Review Board (IRB) is charged with the oversight of both animal and human research performed by members of the JBU community. Specifically, the IRB seeks to insure compliance with federal guidelines regarding the ethical treatment of human participants and animal subjects in research, and serves as an advocate for their safety and well-being.

The IRB consists of two groups: The Human Subjects Committee (HSC) and The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
