Special Training
June 4-15, 2001. Took a 40-hour refresher course in Spanish at the Mesoamerica Institute in San Jose, Costa Rica.

July 12-30, 1993.  Attended the Summer 1993 Seminar for US Professors of Business French at CIEL in Strasbourg, France.  I received a scholarship from the CIBER at San Diego State University and the Cultural Services Office of the French Consulate in San Francisco which paid all expenses.

June 2-3, 1993.  Took the Sony Hi 8 video workshop.

February 13, 1993.  Attended a DELF-DALF (French proficiency examination) workshop at the University of Montana.  I was subsequently approved by the French Ministry of Education as a DELF-DALF jury member.

1987.  I was trained to administer and grade the ETS SPEAK test at the University of Kansas and did so several times during the 1987-88 academic year.
