Mr. Robert Moore
Instructor of History
Robert Moore completed his undergraduate work in the Classics at the University of Arkansas in 1996. Following this, he spent four years serving as a campus minister with a discipleship focused ministry at the U of A. At the end of 1999, he began his MA in History, specializing in Islamic politics and theology. During this process, he spent a summer in Moroco in an Arabic language intensive program. Having completed his Masters, he began his doctoral work at Emory University in West and South Asian religions, focusing on Islamic legal and religious history. Robert received competitive grants to continue his language study, both at Middlebury College and at the American Research Center in Cairo, Egypt. He is currently in the process of completing his dissertation.
Robert’s hobbies include hiking and camping and spending
time with his family. He is married to Emily and has twin daughters,
Ellison and Lauren.
