
Bachelor of Science in Sport Management
Does a career in a college or high school athletic program or working in a management position with a professional sport franchise, amateur sport organization, or retail sport enterprise sound exciting to you? The Sport Management Program is designed to prepare students with a strong business component so they will develop the skills applicable to management-level positions in the sporting industry. There are many opportunities in the field of sport management. Examples are event and facility management, athletic marketing, sports information careers, recreational sport management, resort management, retail sport industry, high school and collegiate athletic programs, and management of fitness and wellness centers. An internship is required for the degree in Sport Management. Positions in high school, college or professional athletics, fitness and wellness centers, sports marketing firms, retail sales of athletic supplies, YMCA/YWCA, resorts, state and local recreation departments are areas where students can find internships. Internships may be served in your hometown during the summer.
