The Instrumental Ensemble consists of chamber groups of varying instrumentations and sizes. For the 2007-08 school year there is a chamber orchestra, a small string orchestra as well as smaller groups. The ensembles perform two concerts a year: one in the Fall semester and one in the Spring. Additionally, the groups occasionally have had the opportunity to perform for the opening receptions of JBU Art Gallery exhibits.

The Instrumental Ensemble meets for two hours each week and is an audition-only group. Ensembles have included strings and woodwinds. As the chamber orchestra expands, brass and percussion players are encouraged to audition  Some small instrumental scholarships are available. Contact Terri R. Wubbena (twubbena@jbu.edu).
