Broadcasting

Broadcasting operates KLRC, 101.1 FM.

The objectives of the Department of Broadcasting are the following: to prepare students for broadcasting careers through theoretical and professional training both in radio and in television broadcast production; to cultivate an awareness of the media’s responsibilities to the public and the public’s responsibilities to the media; and to emphasize that creative Christian leadership is workable in all fields where broadcast technology is applied.

Practical radio broadcasting experience is provided through assignments on the two student-operated radio stations. Television production experience is gained through the use of the full-color TV studio on campus and regular programs on the local cable system.
