I thank God for the opportunity he has given me to be a part of the JBU community. He has given me opportunities for growth, many wonderful friendships, and the chance to experience the feeling that what I am doing is significant.

I believe that it is my responsibility to challenge students, but also to support their learning. I am always thankful to see the "teacher-student" relationship grow into a friendship.

Perhaps one of the biggest lessons in my life has been that God knows best! I never wanted to teach or have a people-intensive job. The things that I feared and hated most and absolutely KNEW that I would never want as a part of my life eventually became my career, and it has given me so much joy and satisfaction. If I had done what I thought I wanted, I believe I would have been miserable. My life is a testimony to the fact that the Lord can take a mixed up person of mediocre abilities and use him to do good and important things. All the glory goes to God!
