
Theta Alpha Kappa
Criteria for Membership in the Alpha Zeta Pi Chapter
I. Undergraduate Students
A. Completion of a minimum of three semesters of
college course at the institution where the inducting chapter is located.
B. Completion of a minimum of 12 credits in Religious Studies/Theology.
C. A grade average of at least 3.5 (or B+) in Religious Studies/Theology
and a cumulative index of 3.5.
D. Standing in the upper 10% of one's class.
II. Graduate Students
A. An academic index of 3.5 (or B+) in graduate
Religion Studies.
B. Completion of at least one half of the credits required for the
degree the student is pursuing.
III. Others
A. Faculty members may be inducted after one semester
at the institution where the inducting chapter is located.
B. Other honorary members may be inducted at the discretion of the
local chapter.
Membership in the Theta Alpha Kappa is ordinary for life. Additionally,
payment of the induction fee confers active membership, including
subscription to The Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa, through the
calendar year subsequent to induction. Thereafter, payment of annual
dues ($25) is required for active membership.
