Department of Bible, Religion and Philosophy

A knowledge of the Bible is essential for effective Christian living
as well as for any type of Christian work, whether one plans to
attend graduate school or enter directly into ministry.
The department seeks to help each student examine the scriptural basis for the faith and to guide the student in the use of basic tools for grasping the content and application of God’s Word.
Students are encouraged to think carefully and be intellectually honest while affirming the place of sincere Christian faith in the pursuit of truth.
The department of Bible, Religion, and Philosophy offers a major and a minor in Biblical and Theological Studies and minors in Religion and Philosophy, and New Testament Greek.
